Man cut out of car after it hit a tree in Stechford

A MAN had to be cut free from his car after it hit a tree and rolled over in Birmingham today.

He lost control of his vehicle at the junction of Bordesley Green East and Queens Road in Stechford at 6.30am.

The impact snapped the tree, which had recently been planted, in half.

Firefighters had to cut off the roof to remove the man from the wreckage. He was taken to hospital with suspected neck and spinal injuries.
