Birmingham pub gives servicemen a free pint

SERVICEMEN past and present are being offered a free pint by a pub chain to mark Armed Forces Week.

Crown Carvery will serve up a free beverage at Sheldon Hall on Gressel Lane, the White Swan in Wythall, and the Barley Mow in Studley, when members of the military purchase a carvery any time between, June 22 and June 28.

Military personnel need to print off a voucher, available at www.crowncarveries.co.uk/armed-forces-day, and also present their ID card or veteran lapel badge.

Debbie Brownsill, manager at Sheldon Hall, said: “We look forward to rolling out the red carpet for armed forces personnel living in Birmingham who pop into the pub on either Armed Forces Day (Saturday June 27) or during the week.”
