A BOY was attacked by a dog in Redditch, police have revealed.
The ten-year-old was attacked in Treville Close at about 10.10am on Sunday when the dog came up to him, jumped at his bicycle, scratched his wrist with its claws and then bit him on the wrist.
The dog, which was not on a lead, then went back to its owner and they walked off in the direction of Winslow Close.
The bite was not said to be serious but the boy attended hospital to have the injury dressed.
PC Matt Beards, from Redditch North East Sector, said: “We need to speak to the owner of this dog and would appeal for him to get in touch with police at the earliest opportunity.
“He is white, in his mid to late 20s with short hair and his dog is said to be large and brown.”
