Erdington schoolchildren meet green challenges
Jul 2 2009 by Patrice John, Birmingham Mail
CHILDREN from an Erdington school have been going green and getting their parents involved.
Pupils at Slade Junior School, in Slade Road, handed out energy-saving lightbulbs, completed green challenges and took part in a Go Green Assembly. They also spent time identifying different materials for recycling and creating new things out of rubbish. Head teacher Andrew Sewell said: “Slade Junior School really believes in teaching environmental responsibility.”
The children were given the lightbulbs by support services agency eaga who help households to implement energy-saving measures.
