Holloway Circus closed after female motorcyclist injured

A WOMAN motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash which forced the closure of a busy Birmingham underpass today.

She suffered a broken leg when the motorcycle she was a passenger on was involved in a collision with at least one car.

It happened at Holloway Circus at its junction with Smallbrook Queensway.

The underpass, near the Dome nightclub, was closed for a time after the accident at 6am.

The motorcycle driver, a man, was not seriously hurt, nor were the occupants of the car.

Police appealed for witnesses.
