Hit-and-run killing: Two men are refused bail

TWO men have appeared in court charged with the murder of Antony Ames, who died after being struck twice by a car in Birmingham.
Brett Cole, 33, of Weycross Road, Perry Common and Anthony Stuart, 30, of Broomhill Road, Erdington, were jointly charged at Sutton Coldfield Magistrates’ Court following the incident early last Saturday near The Place 2B pub in Chester Road, New Oscott.
Both were also charged with the attempted murder of a second man seriously injured on the same night.
The court heard Mr Ames, aged 21 and from Erdington, was killed and two others injured after a birthday bash at the venue.
Both men were refused bail and remanded in custody.
