Birmingham City: Carson Yeung's camp speaks

CARSON Yeung’s camp have released a statement reaffirming their intention to launch a fresh takeover bid for Birmingham City.

However they have given away no clues as to when, or if, they will make a formal offer for the Premier League club or indeed how they plan to finance such a move.

Blues bosses confirmed yesterday that Yeung had made a new approach, through his clothing firm Grandtop International Holdings, two years after his original takeover plans were aborted in farcical circumstances after he failed to raise the required funds.

Now Yeung, Blues’ largest single shareholder with a 29.9 per cent stake, and Grandtop have broken their long-standing silence from Hong Kong to confirm their intention to launch a fresh offer.
