Firs and Bromford estates in buses campaign

A CAMPAIGN is under way to improve bus services for a city estate.

Hodge Hill councillors say the No. 26 route should be extended to connect the Firs and Bromford estates to the public transport network.

Dozens of names have been added to a petition urging operators and passenger body Centro to make life easier for shoppers and workers.

Coun Gwyn Neilly (Lib Dem, Hodge Hill) said: “This will make it easier for people to access the new Tesco store and health centre which will increase passenger numbers, and provide a far better and usable service.”
