Boy, 4 is seriously ill after being hit by a sports car on Sunday in Tamworth

A BOY aged four is seriously ill after being in collision with a sports car at 8.15pm on Sunday.

The youngster was with a group of pedestrians, which included his mother, in Bitterscote Drive, Tamworth, when he was in collision with a Caterham car. The boy was taken to Good Hope Hospital with a “severe head injury”.

Staffordshire Police said the driver was arrested at the scene.
