Handsworth flat torched by petrol arsonist

POLICE are investigating a suspected arson attack on a Birmingham flat.

Fire crews were called to the ground floor maisonette at Fladbury Gardens in Handsworth at 12.45pm yesterday. It is believed petrol had been poured through an open window before being set alight. Nobody was inside at the time but the flat was damaged by fire and smoke.
