Sun shines on the Warwickshire and West Midlands Game and Country Fairn at Ragley Hall

SHEEP dog, falcon and hound displays were among the entertainment celebrating rural life at a Midland country show.

The sun shone over the picturesque grounds of Ragley Hall, near Alcester, which hosted the 21st Warwickshire and West Midlands Game and Country Fair.

The popular two-day event featured a series of spectacular sheepdog displays by BBC’s One Man and his Dog Gus Dermody, who met with visitors after his demonstration. Jemima Parry-Jones MBE, fondly known as the First Lady of British Falconry, provided flying displays in the main arena.

One of the highlights of the show was a traditional hunting fanfare by the internationally-renowned Rallye Trompes de Bonnelles from Normandy. The group were adorned in 17th century costumes as they played a selection of tunes on French horns.
