Corey Oakes trampoline death: Family still waiting to hold funeral
The family of a three-year-old boy who died following an incident on a trampoline will have to wait to hold his funeral after an inquest into his death was further adjourned.
Corey Oakes died at Birmingham’s Children’s Hospital on July 13 after suffering a cardiac arrest as he played on a trampoline at his West Heath home.
During a brief hearing at Birmingham Coroner’s Court, Aiden Cotter, the Coroner for Birmingham and Solihull, said he was “not a position to allow the funeral to proceed.”
The inquest is set to resume on October 1.
