A FAMILY man was today back at the Birmingham home where he was stabbed confronting burglars who had broken in.
After walking back inside for the first time since the attack, brave Frank Rarko said: “It was really difficult.
“It if was just a place where we had been burgled it would be fine – but it was a place where I felt I was going to die.”
The 32-year-old was knifed as he grappled with one of the burglars he had disturbed in the kitchen of the house he shares with wife Petra and son, Adam, aged five, in Kings Heath.
He had gone to investigate noises after being woken early on Monday leaving his wife, Petra, asleep upstairs.
