Strangled girl 'might have been sexually assaulted'

Keith Shilton, headteacher of Eaton Valley Primary in West Bromwich, said: “She was a lovely girl, one of our star pupils. She’s going to be sadly missed by all of the pupils and by the rest of the staff too.
“We are devastated. None of us can understand what’s gone wrong. It was a model family, very well balanced, very popular, the parents were very supportive and we can’t understand what’s gone on here, really.”
Walker, from West Bromwich, worked as a lorry driver for wholesale distribution firm AF Blakemore & Son, which delivers goods to Spar shops across the Midlands from a depot in Willenhall.
He is believed to have a grown-up son from a past relationship, and grew up with five brothers and a sister in Bilston, Wolverhampton.
