READER Doreen Hubball can turn on and tune in with the new LCD TV she won in the Birmingham Mail’s Match & Win competition.
The 75-year-old, from Belcher’s Lane, Washwood Heath, said she needed a new set but couldn’t afford one on her pension.
She said: “I’ve had my TV a few years and it’s got quite a big screen so I just make do. I like all the murder mystery shows like CSI. At my age I don’t get much excitement.”
The grandmother-of-four, who has the Mail every night, discovered she had won the competition when she had a missed call.
She said: “I phoned back and they said it was the Mail. I thought to myself ‘Am I going to be lucky?’”
