Tributes paid to Birmingham mum who bled to death in Spanish bar

MORE tributes were today paid to a Birmingham mum who bled to death after falling on a glass in Spain.

Ex-pat Sally Feeley, aged 42, was enjoying a late night drink with friends when she tripped over her handbag in a Spanish bar.

The glass pierced her left armpit and severed an artery and she died in hospital.

Her brother Steven Feeley, aged 40, was today grieving for Sally, who moved to Spain six years ago.

“She was very outgoing, very popular in Birmingham and Spain,” he said. “She always liked going out. She was a really nice girl. She’d do anything for anybody. She was really kind and considerate.”

Ms Feeley lived with her 12-year-old son Shea in a three-storey whitewashed house in Nerja, on the Costa del Sol.

“She was a very proud mum. The most important thing in her life was her son. I know that for a fact,” said ceiling contractor Steven, who lives in Whittock, in Leicestershire.

“They absolutely loved living out there. Shea speaks fluent Spanish. He lived in a beautiful house overlooking the sea. He went swimming every day. Now he has to come back here and start all over again.”

Shea was due to fly back to Birmingham today with his dad Dave Moseley, who was separated from Ms Feeley, and grandad John Feeley.

They were joined by two of Ms Feeley’s friends who had been out celebrating with their friend when the freak accident occurred.

Sally, a former pupil at Hamstead High, was known in Newtown where she owned the Head High hair salon in Great Hampton Row.
