A man denied today that he murdered his own teenage daughter.

Gary John Fisher is accused of intentionally killing 17-year-old Chanelle Sasha Jones, whose body was discovered in the passenger seat of a Ford Fiesta near Aberaeron, Ceredigion, West Wales, on August 2.

The 48-year-old from Solihull in the West Midlands spoke only to confirm his name and enter his not guilty plea during a brief hearing at Swansea Crown Court today.

The shaven-headed and bespectacled defendant appeared via a video link from the city's prison.

Chanelle, a childcare student, was found dead after being reported missing by her family.

Judge John Diehl adjourned the case until December 11 when another case management hearing will be held.
