Pensioner rescued from fire in Small Heath, Birmingham

AN ELDERLY woman was rescued from a house fire in Small Heath late on Tuesday. Firefighters were called to Somerville Road just after 11pm and rescued the OAP. The fire, caused by a settee catching alight, caused 50 per cent damage to the front room.
