Volunteers iron 2,000 sheets for new Birmingham Ronald McDonald House

A TEAM of volunteers spent an afternoon ironing bed sheets to be used in the brand new Birmingham Ronald McDonald House.

Thirty people helped prepare almost 2,000 sheets for the centre at Birmingham Children’s Hospital – which will be used by families of children being treated at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Currently, relatives have had to stay at nearby Thistle hotel, which hosted the ironing event. The Ronald McDonald House, is set to open by the end of the year.
