Traffic brought to a standstill following a two-car crash on the M5 in Worcestershire

MOTORWAY traffic was brought to a standstill following a two-car crash on the M5 in Worcestershire.

One man, in his 20s, was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital suffering from neck and back pain following the incident on the northbound carriageway between junctions 8 and 7 shortly before 3pm yesterday.

Emergency crews and the Air Ambulance were called after one car collided with the central barrier, which blocked both north and southbound lanes.
