Teen in car crash chaos in Birmingham city centre

BIRMINGHAM city centre was brought to a standstill after a teenager was in collision with a car.
The accident involving the 13-year-old girl happened on Summer Hill Road at 4.30pm yesterday.
Paramedics treated the girl for serious head and leg injuries before she was taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Roads became grid-locked after police closed the surrounding roads to let paramedics treat the girl safely at the scene.
Police appealed for witnesses.
