Three arrests over £40,00 of cannabis found in Tipton raids

Police have made three arrests after seizing cannabis thought to be worth around £40,000 during two simultaneous raids in Tipton.

West Midlands Police said officers, acting on information about drug-dealing in the area, had also recovered a large amount of cash after executing warrants at separate properties in Hudson Road.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis, while two other men, aged 31 and 28, were arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs.

Inspector Dale Randle, who is responsible for policing in Tipton, added: "Today's result would not have been possible without the information from the local community.

"We need more people to come forward and tell us about crime in their area so that we can stamp out crime in Tipton for good."
