Brilliantly Birmingham will recognise the city’s up-and-coming designers as well as reflecting on the beginnings of the trade.
The festival is now in its 10th year and is expected to draw jewellers and buyers from across the world to selling exhibitions which will run in to next year.
A shop will open at Pavilions Shopping Centre on December 5 so Jewellery Quarter-based designers can sell their wares in the run up to Christmas.
Students at Birmingham’s famous School of Jewellery launched the celebration with a showcase of designs and costumes the city’s museum and art gallery.
