Girl’s lucky escape from crash

A YOUNG girl had a lucky escape after receiving only minor injuries in a collision with a car.

The 11-year-old girl was in collision with the vehicle in Lea Village, Kitts Green, at about 4pm yesterday afternoon.

Ambulance crews who treated her were told she had gone under the car and was unconscious.

But when they examined her, paramedics found she had only suffered a cut to her head and a grazed knee.

The man driving the car was unhurt.

The girl, who has not been named, was taken to Heartlands Hospital for a precautionary check up.
