Bilston nightclub shooting: Family pay tribute to victim Danny McCalla

Police civilian licensing officer Michael Pearce told the council’s licensing committee on Tuesday that the club was supposed to have closed at 3am, but 50 people were still at the premises when the shooting took place.

He said police were unhappy following “a catalogue of incidents of extreme disorder” at the venue and would press for its licence to be torn up.

Detectives continue to appeal for anyone who was in the nightclub on Saturday morning, or who knows anything about the incident, to come forward.

They can call West Midlands Police on 0845 113 5000, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
