Nov 27 2009 by Tony Collins, Birmingham Mail
A TRAINING company in Birmingham which specialises in domestic violence education has backed the Government’s decision to teach children how to prevent violent relationships.
Loudmouth Education & Training company has been delivering workshops on domestic violence to schools for the past 15 years.
Founding director Chris Cowan, who has been campaigning for better education on domestic violence, also praised Birmingham schools for the work they already do.
He said: “I’m very pleased with the Government’s announcement.
“Birmingham should be proud of the excellent work they do in this area, with sessions for pupils in primary school supported by sessions for both teachers and parents.”
He said when compulsory sessions begin in 2011, they need to be delivered with the right kind of partnerships and support.
