A MURDER inquiry has been launched after a man died almost three weeks after he was attacked twice after leaving a Birmingham pub with friends.

Police said Dean Brayson, of Smiths Wood, Birmingham, died in hospital on Thursday following the incidents in Coleshill, Warwickshire, on 7 November.

The 29-year old was hit in the face and fell to the floor in the first altercation outside The Bell on Birmingham Road.

He suffered serious head injuries in a second fight with several other men.

Detectives urged anyone who saw the attacks to contact them.
