Killer royal aide Jane Andrews planning to write book

A FORMER aide of the Duchess of York who murdered her Solihull boyfriend plans to write a book, an author has claimed.

Jane Andrews, 42, was sentenced to life for bludgeoning with a cricket bat and then stabbing Tom Cressman to death after he refused to marry her.

Last week, Andrews fled East Sutton open prison and went on the run for two days before she was found by police in a nearby hotel. An inquiry has since been launched into how the Duchess of York’s former dresser managed to abscond.

Writer Chris Hutchins, author of Fergie Confidential: The Real Story, has claimed Andrews “made it clear” she would write a book on her experiences while he was visiting her at Send Prison in Surrey.

He said “She made it clear that she was determined to write a book that would enable her to get her own back on her victim’s family for the things they had said about her since the murder of Thomas Cressman.

“But Jane was well aware that sales of her autobiography would multiply if it included the Royal gossip which she had been privy.”

Mr Hutchins alleges Andrews had kept a tin of the Duchess’ hair along with other possessions from her nine-year post.

“Jane gathered up the severed locks from the salon floor,” Mr Hutchins claimed. “‘What on earth are you doing with that?’ the Duchess demanded. ‘You never know,’ Jane replied. ‘It might come in handy one day.’”
