Man stabbed by stranger in Kings Norton
A MAN was treated for stab wounds after being attacked by a knife-wielding stranger as he stood near a phone box.
The victim, understood to be in his 30s, suffered injuries to his arms while trying to defend himself.
He was at a phone box at the junction of Burford Park Road and Redditch Road, Kings Norton, at about 8pm on Tuesday when the incident happened.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “He was assaulted by another man wielding a knife. He is detained in hospital in a stable condition. His injuries are described as not life threatening.”
A man was arrested in connection with the incident shortly afterwards.
Det Insp Jim Foy, from Kings Heath CID, said officers had cordoned off part of Burford Park Road, Redditch Road and Foyle Road for forensic tests.
