Clothes Show Live at the NEC

The event, which is where famous faces such as Holly Willoughby, Cat Deeley and supermodel Erin O’Connor got their big breaks, will be running until next Wednesday.

All the major fashion houses are represented and it is even the place to go to pick up the odd bargain.

It began yesterday with a fashion show featuring celebrities including former male model-turned TV presenter Dave Berry and fashion editor Caryn Franklin.

Other celebrities at the show included Hollyoaks stars Zoe Lister and Anthony Quinlan, who play Zoe and Gilly in the show, as well as up-and-coming boy band Vice.

Presenting the show, Dave said: “It really is a thrill to be here today. It’s always exciting to present the Clothes Show and it’s always great to be here.

“It truly is an event that gets better every year.”

Caryn added: “It’s going to be a great show. We’ve got some great looking models here and some amazing clothes and we just hope that everyone enjoys the show.”

Among the brands with stalls at the event are Rimmel London and even Birmingham’s own Gatecrasher.

Other celebrities due to be at the show include fashion guru Gok Wan, radio presenter George Lamb, Radio 1 and television presenter Fearne Cotton, Irish comedian Brendan Courtney, Hollyoaks’s Ashley Taylor-Dawson, who plays Darren in the show, and Carly Stenson, who plays Steph.

And other attractions at the show include competitions to find new catwalk talent, a range of beauty treatments and hundreds of clothes stalls.
