Woman attacked in her car in Winson Green

A MUM-of-one was seriously injured when she was attacked in her car in Birmingham.

The 27-year-old was driving along College Street, Winson Green, when a man jumped out of a silver BMW that had pulled alongside and launched the attack.

The woman suffered a fractured cheekbone, and lacerations around one of her eyes and her Peugeot 206 was also damaged in the attack at 10am on Wednesday.

A man, also aged 27, was arrested a short time later and was yesterday due to appear before magistrates in Birmingham charged with wounding.
