Police issue beermats in Coleshill and Chemsley Wood as part of murder hunt

POLICE are distributing beer mats to pubs in Coleshill and Chelmsley Wood while hoping to catch the killer of a man who died after being attacked in a pub car park.

The coasters show a picture of Dean Brayson, aged 29, of Birmingham, with the slogan: ‘‘Who killed Dean?’’

The police hope people will come forward with information about the attack took place on November 7.

Dean was attacked in the car park of the Bell Inn, in Coleshill, and then later in a nearby lay-by on November 8. He lost his fight for life three weeks later.

A 24-year-old man, from the Coleshill area, was arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder and was released yesterday pending further inquiries.

Det Chief Insp Jim Essex said: “We are continuing to follow some significant leads. We will work tirelessly to trace the people responsible.”
