Woman rescued from sixth-floor flat fire in Northfield

A WOMAN was rescued from a high-storey flat fire in Northfield last night.

Fire crews were called to the blaze at Shelly Tower, on Overbury Road, at 7.50pm.

A West Midlands Fire spokesman said it took them around two hours to tackle the blaze.

“A woman was rescued from the sixth floor. Investigations are under way,” he added.
