Huge delays on M6 after crash
HUGE tailbacks built up around Spaghetti Junction today after a crash between a motorbike and two cars.
The accident happened at around 7am on the southbound carriageway between junctions six and seven – Spaghetti Junction and Great Barr.
Thousands of motorists were caught up in delays of up to half-an-hour and the southbound carriageway junction seven entry slip was closed off.
The vehicles were cleared from the M6 by 8am, but disruption to traffic was expected to last until around 1pm.
Police said the motorcyclist suffered back pain, and was taken to Sandwell Hospital, where his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
An ambulance service spokesman said two other people received minor injuries.
