The Moscow State Circus heading to Birmingham

ALL the fun of the circus, Russian style, is heading to Birmingham to set up camp over the festive season.

The thrills and spills of The Moscow State Circus will be performing a special edition of its Legenda show for a Christmas season in Star City until January 10.

The famous circus comes with a huge cast of Russia’s greatest and most flexible circus performers, but has been revolutionised by incorporating the legendary Russian figure Gregory Rasputin, advisor to the Tsar in the early 1900s who was often referred to as the Mad Monk. The newly devised show includes a double Russian swing troupe, girls suspended in mid-air on floating silks, human statues, award-winning clowns, a wheel of death, and a crossbow act.

Hosted by Andre Voronin as Rasputin, the show is housed in a specially designed big top which has been uniquely domed to accommodate the complex rigging for the aerial acts.

Tickets priced from £10 to £27 are available by calling 08444 856 5555. Further information can also be found at www.themoscowstatecircus.eu
