DETECTIVES in Birmingham have appealed for information about a man thought to be responsible for six attacks.
Officers said a knife had either been used or seen by victims during the offences in Lozells between June 9 and December 6.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said a lone male had been assaulted with no known motive in each incident, although none of the victims was seriously injured.
Det Chief Insp Steven Reed, said: “Whilst the injuries caused have not been serious so far, we are concerned by the nature and number of incidents.
“We know robbery is not a motive, as nothing has been taken by the offender in any of the incidents. We do not believe that the offender is specifically targeting victims for a reason such as race or other hate crime.”
The offender was described as black, aged between 18 and 30, of slim build and between 5ft 8ins and 6ft.
Anyone with information should call the force on 0845 113 5000.
