Christmas plea over missing Kidderminster father

THE wife of a missing Midland man today spoke of the family’s sadness at spending another Christmas without him.

Damian Tudge, aged 42, from Kidderminster, went missing just over a year ago.

In a direct appeal, his wife of 13 years, Jane, said: “If Damian is reading this I just want him to call and let someone know he’s alive.

“If he doesn’t want to come home, that’s fine. I just want him to let someone know he is all right.

“We are very worried about him.

‘‘The kids are missing him and we would love to have him back home safe and well for Christmas.”

The couple have two children together, Jade, aged 12, and Daryl 11, and Mrs Tudge has two children from a previous marriage, John 22, and Martin, 19.

The family have just spent their second Christmas not knowing where he is.

Mr Tudge went missing in the early hours of November 14, 2008.

He is described as white, 5ft 7in tall, with short dark hair.

He is believed to have driven away from his home in his blue Peugeot 205, registration number J221 UHP. The family said it was out of character for Mr Tudge who used to work at Riteweld in Stourbridge as a welder, to go missing and police conducted extensive searches in the area at the time of his disappearance.

Sergeant Anthony Quinn said police were continuing to follow up a number of reported sightings across the country, none of which have been confirmed.
