Facebook appeal for missing Birmingham man

MORE than 1,700 people have joined the search for a Birmingham man who went missing at the beginning of the month.

Sam Coomber was last seen on December 3 at his home in Woodville Road, Kings Heath and just days before was seen socialising with friends at the Hare and Hounds pub.

Worried friends and relatives of the 25-year old, who previously worked in the events industry, have joined a Facebook site urging people to report any sightings of him.

Bex Foad wrote: “I hope he sees this. Hope it will show him how many people love and miss him. Come home Sam. We love you xxx”

Cathy Crossley said: “Sorry to hear Sam is missing, I’ll circulate it as much as I can, esp to London friends. I have very fond memories of all the Coomber family who lived next door to me for years.”

West Midlands Police confirmed Mr Coomber has been reported as a missing person. A vulnerable persons specialist has been assigned to the case partly because he has suffered with anxiety and depression in the past.

He is described as 5ft 5ins and of slight build, with blue grey eyes and short, greying brown hair.

A group set up on Facebook has been joined by 1,766 people. Posters have been put up around Kings Heath in the hope someone will have seen him.

A neighbour who did not wish to be named, said: “He is a lovely guy and I hope the publicity helps to track him down.”
