Kingswinford woman lay injured in snow for two hours on Wales walk

A STRICKEN Midland woman lay in the snow for more than two hours with ankle injuries after falling while walking her dog in Wales.

The 41-year-old, from Kingswinford, was eventually airlifted to hospital after the crew of a rescue helicopter from RAF Chivenor, in north Devon, came to her aid.

The crew used an infra-red camera to locate the woman after she fell near the Tarren yr Esgob crags close to Hay-on-Wye, just before 8pm on Monday.
