University of Birmingham medics receive training from ambulance service

STUDENT medics at Birmingham University will be responding to 999 calls as part of their training.
A dozen final year students will be working in Selly Oak and Harborne as community first responders on Mondays to Thursdays, after undergoing a course in lifesaving techniques from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
