Man who rammed women driver in Midland road rage incident jailed
AN IRATE driver who hurled abuse at a woman motorist as she pulled off her Midland drive and then rammed into the back of her car has been jailed for four months.
Dean Poyner, of Stonebridge Road, Coleshill, followed the woman as she drove her Metro away from her home in Tamar Drive, Chelmsley Wood.
The 41-year-old, who was behind the wheel of a VW Golf, rammed into her car as she slowed down to go over a speed hump, Warwick Crown Court was told.
Poyner admitted dangerous driving, having no licence or insurance and failing to stop after an accident and was also disqualified from driving for 18 months.
Judge Marten Coates said that the incident was ‘more an act of violence’ than simply driving dangerously, and there was ‘a lot of aggression behind his previous offending.’
