Liam Byrne admits Labour failed to appeal to middle-income voters

LABOUR needs to admit it failed to convince middle-income voters it cared about them if it wants to be in Government again, according to Hodge Hill MP Liam Byrne.
Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, the former Chief Secretary to the Treasury said voters may never re-elect Labour if it tried to “duck the difficult issues”.
But he said Labour must also rethink its policies, and ensure middle-income earners are allowed to share the benefits when Britain’s economy grows.
