Two found dead in Quinton house

Keith Smith, 39, who is training to be a gas safety engineer said: “I walked past the house on Monday at about 6.30am and I saw a couple in the doorway, she was outside and he was just inside the house, they both appeared to be low down, sort of crouched over but they seemed to be having a row, I didn’t really pay attention to what about and I didn’t want to get involved so I carried on. Then it was strange because the same thing happened.
“There is a black vehicle which has been parked on the drive and has not moved all week.”
“Through the evening it looked like relatives were coming to the house and they were then being taken away by police officers. I asked the police officer what had happened and she just said it was a serious incident.
“It sounds like it is carbon monoxide, a key give away is the fact that gas safety engineers were called. Carbon monoxide poisoning unfortunately happens frequently, there has been a few deaths in the UK over recent months. It is lethal, four per cent in the air can cause death within five minutes.”
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: An incident support officer, an ambulance crew and a rapid response vehicle attended.
“Two people were confirmed dead at the scene.”
The West Midlands Police force control room refused to comment on the tragedy in spite of a number of requests.
