Suspicious fire at Shard End maisonette

A MAN and two dogs were rescued after a suspicious fire broke out in a Birmingham flat.

Firefighters were called to a blaze at a maisonette complex on Panther Close, Shard End, just after 2.45am on Friday.

They rescued the man and dogs from a first floor flat. The fire is being treated as suspicious.
