Top football stars invest in panic rooms as their mansions are targeted by raiders

TOP football stars are investing in panic rooms as criminal gangs target their multi-million pound homes.

Villa defender Richard Dunne was the latest big name to fall victim to raiders when his Sutton Coldfield property was ransacked as he played at Newcastle on August 22.

Other stars previously targeted by intruders have included former Villa players Peter Crouch and James Milner, whose home was also in the Sutton Coldfield area.

Now a Birmingham-based security expert has revealed the game’s big earners are investing in panic rooms – reinforced spaces designed to provide safe hiding places if raiders strike.
