Caravan life beckons for Midlanders
Sep 7 2010 by Jon Griffin, Birmingham Mail
MIDLANDERS are turning their backs on perils of the property market – and moving to caravan parks to enjoy their hard-earned retirements.
More and more people disillusioned with the housing rat race are selling up their family homes and uprooting to mobile dwellings.
The trend has led to rich pickings for businesses such as family-owned Allens Caravans Ltd, whose headquarters are in Henley-in-Arden.
The West Midland company has just completed phase one of its latest development at the Leedons Holiday and Residential Park, Broadway, Worcestershire.
The £2 million investment has created the infrastructure and pitch sites for 80 residential caravans, supported by Barclays Corporate.
