Safety fears over Kings Heath accident blackspot

A WOMAN living at a notorious accident blackspot awoke to find her garden wall demolished after a car ploughed into it.
Kursum Hathiyari has seen six accidents outside her home, and three years ago another car smashed into a hedge in her front garden.
She fears someone could be hurt without improvements to the junction of Cartland Road, Vicarage Road and Melstock Road, in Kings Heath.
The latest accident, which happened at 6.15am yesterday, involved two drivers, who both escaped unhurt.
The 52-year-old said: “I was asleep upstairs and I heard a really loud bang. I went outside and made sure they were OK. They were both fine but shaken.”
Mrs Hathiyari said a car travelling from Cartland Road collided with a vehicle heading along Vicarage Road, which then careered into her wall.
