Birmingham New Street evacuated due to faulty fire alarm
A FAULTY fire alarm at Birmingham New Street has caused hundreds of rail passengers to be evacuated this morning.
The station was emptied shortly after 10am after the alarm sounded on platform one, where work is being carried out on the Birmingham Gateway project.
Birmingham New Street is expected to reopen at 11am.
