THE brother of a Birmingham dad-of-two made jokes about him as he lay on the ground, not realising he had been fatally stabbed in the head, a court heard.
Shazad Khan teased his brother Sarfraz for not being able to handle alcohol as he lay face down on the floor unaware he had collapsed because a screwdriver was embedded in his head.
Sarfraz, known to friends as Big or Biggy, died in hospital four days after an attack in Larches Green Park, Sparkbrook, on March 12 this year.
A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named, denies murdering Mr Khan, aged 24, from Hodge Hill.
Tariq Hussain, who was with the Khan brothers and a fourth man, Babar Ali, on the night of the alleged stabbing, gave evidence in the trial at Birmingham Crown Court yesterday. He told the court: “Shazad was joking with him not realising what had happened.
“He said ‘come on, get up – I told you you can’t handle your drink’.
“Someone said ‘pick up Safraz and take him to the car’.
