Wednesfield teenager died after falling under the wheel of a skip lorry, inquest hears

A SCHOOLBOY died after he lost control of his mountain bike and fell under the wheel of a passing skip lorry, an inquest heard.

The horrific death of Wednesfield 16-year-old Tyron Allen was described by Black Country coroner Robin Balmain as “one of the most distressing cases” he’d come across.

Tyron died of multiple head injuries he sustained in the collision, which happened at the junction of Stroud Avenue and Sandbeds Road, in Willenhall, on a clear Monday morning in August this year.

The pupil of Coppice Performing Arts School, in Wednesfield, lived with parents Philip and Emma, in Kitchen Lane, who were both at the hearing, and had a brother, Troy.

Mr Balmain, sitting at Walsall Manor Hospital, heard how Tyron had been cycling along the pavement when he fell over on his bike, into the road and under the rear wheel of a skip lorry just as it was passing him.
